suspended ceiling

Why choose a suspended ceiling?

  • An easy way to hide electrical wiring, telecommunication cables, pipelines, ventilation ducts, etc.
  • Easy and quick installation, roof modules do not need additional surface treatment.
  • Minimal need for cleaning: the installation of a suspended ceiling does not stain and produces as little dust as possible.

Possibilities of a suspended ceiling:

  • Easy to embed luminaires and ventilation devices
  • Effective way to dampen sound: avoid sound propagation or improve the acoustics of the room
  • Very many opportunities to come up with different design solutions
  • Easy to replace or renew
  • The suspended ceiling is easy to remove for maintenance of technical building systems.
  • Different types of suspended ceilings – panel ceilings, grating ceilings, mesh ceilings, cassette ceilings – can be combined with all roofing materials if necessary.
  • However, often the height or other peculiarity of the space does not allow the installation of a suspended ceiling. Then one of the options is a roof covered with glued woolen sheets. The type of roof in question is often used in new or existing buildings to dampen sound, for example, in rooms where too much echo interferes with communication – schools, offices, apartments.

What factors would I pay attention to:

  • What special requirements apply to the roof coating: cleanability, waterproofing, access to engineering systems, fire resistance, sound insulation performance?
  • Does the roof play a role in structuring the space or reducing the height
  • What is indoor humidity, is it uniform or variable?
  • Can the roof be damaged during the operation of the space?
  • Are technical building systems installed above the roof?
  • Should devices, lamps or something else be attached to the ceiling?
